July Update

Summer opening hours

Monday- Saturday 9am – 5pm, Sundays & Bank Holidays 10am 4pm

As the weather gets warmer, why not pop into the shop to get some delicious local ingredients for a picnic.

We have award winning cheeses from Brinkworth Dairies, as well as a range of bread and pate.   We also have a range of delicious local pies and pasties, including vegetarian and gluten free options.  We have a good selection of yogurts and other deserts.

We had very good trade at solstice with lots of appreciative customers.   Thank you so much to our staff and volunteers who worked late nights and early mornings over the solstice.

Customer/Community Survey

Thank you so much to everyone who completed a survey.  A total of 32 surveys were returned. The winning surveys which were picked out at the AGM by our guest speaker were first prize (hamper) customer from East Kennett, 2nd Prize (gift token) customer from Avebury, 3rd Prize (gift token) customer from Winterbourne Monkton.

Volunteer Appeal

Please consider volunteering at your local community shop as we are in need of people to man the tills.   It is a great way of meeting people and making friends.   We need volunteer shop assistants, but if you don’t want to be in the public eye there are lots of other things you could do to help such as baking, helping with deliveries, collection of supplies and so on.   We don’t expect you to volunteer at the same time every week unless you want to.   If you can only help occasionally we would also be grateful for this.    Any help however small is gratefully received.

If you think you would like to volunteer, even for an hour or two, just to help out, just call Lyn, Lynda or Holly at the shop on 01672 539200. We promise tea, biscuits and friendship.

Local Deliveries

Please don’t forget that we can deliver to you if you are unable to come into the shop.   Just give us a ring on the number at the top of this article.
